This small nature resort began as a simple retreat from the city for our family. In 1984, Helen put an ad in the Malay Mail to purchase a rural lot. Walking through a rubber smallholding in Negeri Sembilan, she looked out to the Mantin hills and fell in love.
The trail which starts from Pasir Pandak and ends at Pantai Kerachut is about 2 hours of leisure walking on undulating terrain. This 4 Days 3 Nights pinnacles and headhunters trail through the Mulu jungles can be made from either Limbang or Mulu. This would be a good choice to make if the flights are full for the Miri-Mulu route as you will be trekking into the park.
We will travel by 4WD from Miri to Long Bedian. Traveling time takes approximately 5 hours going through the scenic countryside of Sarawak. We will pass through Oil Palm Plantation, Longhouses and rice fields.
The basic trails route is as follows. First take a boat from the park HQ to Kuala Berar and then trek for 2-3hours to reach Camp 5. From Camp 5 follow the 11.3 km trail to Kuala Terikan., a 4-5 hour trek. Either rest or spend the night in the accommodation units at the ranger station at Ng. Metawai (about 15 minutes form Kuala Terikan), or travel by longboat for 3-4 hours (depending on boat engine and water level) to reach the longhouse (Rumah Bala Lesong)
We will start our trek in the morning from Mulu Park HQ to Camp 3. The trek is challenging and the distance is approximately 12km. Camp 3 is a simple jungle hut where we will have our dinner and sleep for the night.
This is a 5days 4nights climb and trek. make sure you're physically fit for this trip. The pinnacles is gruelling, the trek if you are not used to the tropical weather can make you want to give up before you even start but this will give you an insight into the life of the tribes that still make the Bornean jungle their home

From RM1,590..The Crocker Range was renamed Taman Banjaran Crocker (Crocker Range Park) in 1996 and is now managed by Sabah Parks. The salt trail is a 34km long trail used by people of Tambunan in the olden days for trade. The countrymen used to exchange their produce for salt. Hence, it’s called ‘The Salt Trail’. This trail starts from Kg Tikolod, Tambunan to Inobong, Penampang. The highest point is at 1320m and the lowest at 220m.
The Kawang Forest Reserve is 1, 551 hectares (3,832.5 acres) of second class (Domestic) forest reserve. The reserve is situated in Kawang; about 23 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu.
