Please check the tidal charts or weather forecast before leaving or planning your trip at Island to check for is Tioman in the dropbox for all islands off Mersing ie pulau rawa, pulau besar, pulau sibu, pulau tioman, pulau pemanggil, pulau aur, pulau dayang... If you're planning to go to the islands during the Full Moon or when there is no moon, then be warned that there will be very extreme tidal conditions ie very high hightides and very low lowtides so boats may have difficulty leaving or entering the Mersing jetty. You may have to wait quite a while for the tidal change. Check the tidal charts.

Mersing jetty ~ takes you to the following islands : Pulau Besar , Pulau Rawa , Pulau Tioman , Pulau Aur , Pulau Pemanggil
Tanjung Gemuk jetty (40mins away from Mersing) ~ takes you to the following islands : Pulau Tioman . Several resorts on pulau tioman include boat transfers from Tanjung Gemuk to Pulau Tioman in their holiday packages and others leave from mersing jetty. Please check with your resort or accommodation booking prior to you booking your coach ticket.

For those connecting to Singapore, you can also take the Causeway Link Express from Larkin Bus Terminal in Johor Baru all the way through to Kranji MRT Station or Queen Street depending on which bus connection you can catch up with. The Mersing - JB bus does not go further than Larkin so you will have to hop off this bus and wait for the Causeway Link that goes to Singapore from here. |
