The morning is the most active time for the rainforest birds so an early start gives us the best opportunities to observe them. The open corridor between the rainforest is best for observing these birds.
Our next destination takes us to a mangrove forest to search out the Brown-winged kingfishers, White-collared kingfisher, Black-capped kingfisher, White-bellied sea eagle, Bhraminy kite, Common sandpiper, Little heron and others.
Finally we make our way to the rice field. We may get to see sandpipers, plovers, lapwings, pond herons, egrets, bitterns, White throated kingfishers, Blue-throated bee-eaters, Chestnut-headed bee-eaters, Peaceful doves, Spotted doves, Plain-backed sparrow and others. Return to hotel.

Birdwatching - Afternoon Session ~ valid till 31st March 2009
(rates based on per person per package)
We begin this session in the afternoon, a short drive to a local village pond that is frequented by the Lesser Whistling-ducks, Little egrets, Little herons, Moorhens, Little grebes, Chinese pond herons, Needle-tailed swifts, Striated swallow and many others.
If you have seen the courting dance of the hornbills, you’ll realize that it is literally poetry in motion. There are much fruit-passing and beak-rubbing as the male birds compete against each other to woo female’s heart. Once successful the couple stays together for life.
Langkawi is home to Wreathed Hornbill, Oriental-pied hornbill and the most majestic of them all Great Hornbill, which can grow up to 1.2 meter. In this afternoon session we will visit these jewels of Langkawi’s home.
By late evening we make our way back to hotel.

Cancellation of tour
In any of the following cases the ground operator may cancel the tour;
- In the event of poor weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond operator's control, and when safe and smooth tour operation according to the itinerary specified has become impossible.
- When the client demands things that are beyond the reasonable scope of the details in the itinerary
