Destination Kinabalu , Sabah
Measuring 2642m, Mount Trusmadi is the second highest peak in Malaysia. The trails and area of Mount Trusmadi are rich with biological diversity; endemic species (those unique only to the mountain or its area) thrive along the slopes and summit. The trip to the summit is interesting and very challenging . At the summit you can witness the most amazing view of the majestic Mount Kinabalu with the some of the the oldest rainforest in the world as your backdrop. Located about 70 km south-east of Kota Kinabalu. Registration of climbers is a must with the Tambunan Forestry Department before proceeding with the climb and hiring local mountain guides is strictly required before the attempt. Open daily, but advance reservation/ booking of at least 1 month is required ![]()
SPECIAL NOTE:
It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart disease, severe anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
