Day 1

Arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport

Meet & greet services upon arrival at BKI Airport. Then proceed to Monsopiad Cultural Village in 20 minutes drive. When you are in the village, you will be guided through the village and hear all the stories about the Monsopiad. You may taste the local rice wine too. Other interesting exhibits include the massive monolith which invokes a dozen legends, the traditional restaurant and of course Siou Do Mohoing, or the House of Skulls, where all 42 ‘trophies' of Monsopiad hang from the rafters. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Then, depart and transfer to Imperial International Hotel for check in. Evening, dinner at local restaurant. Return to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

Poring Hot Springs / Kundasang

Breakfast at hotel’s café. Check out and transfer to Poring Hot Spring in 3 hours drive. On the way to Kundasang, pass by small towns and villages until stop by at Nabalu Fruit Market for a break. Upon arrival at the Poring Hot Spring, proceed to the famous Canopy Walkway. The Walkway is 157.8m long and 41m high. You will have to hike for 20 minutes in order for you to reach at its site where you can have a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. Round trip takes about 40 minutes. Lunch served at local restaurant. After a tiring hike, take a refreshing dip of the hot sulphur in indoor or outdoor tubs which have health as well curative properties for skin diseases. Then, depart Poring and transfer to The Cottage Hotel in Kundasang for check in. Dinner and overnight at the same hotel.

Day 3

Mount Kinabalu Park

Early wake up to see the magnificent of Mt. Kinabalu (subject to weather condition). Breakfast at resort/hotel before check out and transfer to Kinabalu National Park. Upon arrival at the park, enjoy the cool and fresh air of the park. Have a visit to the Exhibition Hall, Slide Show and Mountain Garden (One of the biggest attractions at the Park). Lunch served at local restaurant. After lunch, retrace journey back to Hotel in Kota Kinabalu and check in. Evening, dinner at local restaurant. Return to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Depart to Sandakan

Breakfast at hotel’s café. 0600hrs, check out and transfer to KKI Airport for flight to Sandakan via MH2042. Meet upon arrival ETA: 0810hrs and proceed for 30 minutes drive to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Orphaned and injured Orang-Utans are brought to Sepilok to be rehabilitated to return to forest life. Sepilok is a primary lowland forest, a fine showcase of Borneo's remaining rain forest. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan from a platform in the forest. Watch the scheduled video documentary show at the Sepilok Information building. The 20 minutes video show will give you an insight of the Orang Utan rehabilitation process and its threats to survival. After the excursion at Sepilok, depart overland for 3 hours journey Sukau. Check-in and lunch at Bukit Malapi Lodge. In late afternoon, proceed for river cruise to the Menanggol River, a tributary of Kinabatangan River to search for wildlife, including the unique Proboscis monkey, hornbills, kingfishers and many others. The Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places in Southeast Asia to observe wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Bukit Malapi Lodge.

Day 5

Oxbow Lake Cruise

0600hrs early morning river cruise to the Oxbow lakes. (Oxbow lake was formed by large meanders of the river that have been cut off from the main channel). The trip will take you to see the riverine forest and the wildlife in the area. The Oriental Darter, Storm’s stork, various species of Hornbills, Kingfishers is common feature. After morning cruise, return to lodge for breakfast. Free at leisure. In late afternoon, proceed for another river cruise in Kinabatangan to search for more wildlife and birds. Dinner and overnight at Bukit Malapi Lodge.

Day 6

Gomantong Cave / Sandakan Town

After breakfast, 0730hrs depart to Gomantong cave which takes about 30 minutes drive. Upon arrival, take a 15 minutes walk to the cave, the short jungle walk will take you to the unique limestone vegetation and lowland forest. Explore one of the fascinating caves in Sabah which is a home to the millions of bats and swiflets. The swiflets are collected for the famous Chinese edible bird’s nest soup. After exploring the cave, return to Sandakan and proceed to visit Puj Jih Sih Chinese temple, located 300m above sea level. Here you can see the colorful interior carvings and decoration of this magnificent temple with a commanding view of Sandakan bay. Proceed for lunch at local restaurant. Drive around Sandakan town and see the busy street and market. Then, drive to Sim Sim water village where you can see houses on stilt occupied by the local Chinese and Malay people or to Sandakan War Memorial. Onwards, transfer to Sandakan airport for your return flight to Kota Kinabalu at MH3044 ETD 1915hrs. On arrival at KKI Airport, meet and transfer to local restaurant for dinner. After dinner, transfer to Hotel for check in. Overnight stay at the same hotel.

Day 7

Breakfast at hotel’s café. Free & Easy. Transfer to BKI Airport for flight home.
